- PRPPM is a single-pair wire with copper conductors with polyethylene insulation, in a sheath of light-stabilized polyethylene.
- It is designed for operation at voltages up to 380 V and frequency up to 10 kHz on subscriber telephone lines and distribution networks of wire broadcasting. It is allowed to lay in the ground, telephone sewers, collectors, along the walls of buildings and structures, as well as on the supports of overhead lines, in areas not subject to strong ice and winds.
Tensile forces arising during the installation (laying) of the wire should not exceed: for the wire
with a conductor diameter of 0.80 mm - 180 N, with a conductor diameter of 0.90 mm - 245 N, with a conductor diameter of 1.20 mm - 294.3 N.

Single-pair wire PRPPM with copper conductors, polyethylene insulation and sheath is intended for operation at a voltage of 380 V with a frequency of up to 10 kHz on subscriber telephone lines and distribution networks of wire radio broadcasting.
Wire communication lines still make up a significant part of communication channels in Ukraine and around the world. And the presence of a wire broadcasting network is a requirement of civil defense organizations, since it is on its basis that a system for alerting the citizens by civil defense headquarters (Ministry of Emergency Situations) is built in a state of emergency, during environmental and man-made disasters and epidemics. Single-pair wires for telephone communication and radio communication of premises allow providing guaranteed-reliable communication in any problem areas with any complexity of communication connection. And it is to such wires that PRPPM belongs. Its low cost and ease of installation have made it the most commonly used wire for local telephone lines and radio hotspots.
PRPPM is designed for fixed installation and is used for external laying of telephone lines and radio broadcasting lines.
The wire can be laid along the walls of buildings, in open ground, mines, telephone sewers, collectors, as well as on the supports of overhead communication lines, provided there are no strong winds and the threat of icing. For installation by the method of suspension, PRPPM structure can contain a supporting cable made of galvanized steel wire.
PRPPM is a flat wire with a separating base. Its structure includes two conductors of copper wire with a diameter of 0.8, 0.9 or 1.2 mm, located parallel to each other, continuous polyethylene insulation and a protective sheath made of light-stabilized polyethylene.
It is recommended to lay the wire at a temperature not lower than -10°C, and the operating temperature ranges from -60°C to +50°C, provided that the installation is fixed.
The wire has a fairly high strength and flexibility. Its bend radius must be at least 10 wire diameters. Tensile forces arising during installation should not exceed: for a wire with a conductor diameter of 0.80 mm – 180 N, with a conductor diameter of 0.90 mm – 245 N, and with a conductor diameter of 1.20 mm – 294.3 N.
The service life of the wire is at least 10 years. The guaranteed service life is 3 years. Once the wire has been removed, it can be reused.
