Detailed description

PvBbSHp is a power cable with copper conductors, insulation made of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and a BbSHp-type protective sheath. It is designed for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy in stationary installations for a rated alternating voltage of 0.66; 1 kV with a frequency of 50 Hz.

Applicability scope

Armoured cable PvBbSHp is mainly used in conditions where there is a risk of mechanical damage to the cable during laying or operation. It is used most often for installation in the ground, with any corrosiveness of the soil, the leakage currents, regardless of the proximity of the groundwater, save for the heaving and subsidence soils. It can be used for the installation of power lines by air without significant tension strain and also laid along the bottom of non-navigable reservoirs, when buried in the ground. It is also used for laying in rooms, tunnels, channels, partially flooded structures with various corrosive conditions.

The group laying is allowed in outdoor electrical installations and industrial premises using the additional protection against fire.

Design

The conductors of PvBbSHp cable are copper, single-wire or multi-wire, round or sector (class 1, 2 DSTU EN 60228). Conductors insulation is made of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) with solid color marking or longitudinal strip marking. The conductors are stranded into a core which may be covered with a sheath of chalk-filled nonvulcanizing rubber compound, and the spaces between the conductors are filled. Multi-conductors cables can have all conductors of the same cross-section or one conductor (neutral or ground) of a smaller cross-section. The protective cover consisting of two galvanized steel tape bands and a protective hose made of light-stabilized polyethylene provide a maximum protection to the cable.

Operation

PvBbSHp is manufactured for operation in areas with a temperate and cold climate and is used in a stationary state at temperatures from -50°C to +50°C. Air humidity during operation should not exceed 98% at temperatures up to +35°С. You may not preheat the cable during installation if the ambient temperature is at least -15°C.

The minimum bend radius during installation should be at least 7.5 outer cable diameters for multi-conductors cables and 10 outer cable diameters for single-conductor cables.

The long-term permissible temperature of heating conductors during operation is 90°C. The maximum permissible temperature at short-circuit currents is 250°C, in an emergency mode no more than 130°C.

The service life of the cable is at least 30 years. The guaranteed service life is 5 years.

The website of EUROPAN LLC presents an armoured cable PvBbSHp of its own production, the high quality of which is confirmed by the certificates of compliance with Ukrainian legislation. You can buy a copper armoured cable PvBbSHp or aluminum APvBbSHp, check prices, get additional information on the technical characteristics of the products you are interested in, by contacting our sales department by phone numbers indicated on the website.
