  • AVVG-P, AVVG-Png, AVVG-Pngd are the flat power cables with aluminum conductors, PVC insulation and sheath.
  • They are designed for the transmission and distribution of electricity in stationary installations for a rated alternating voltage of 0.66 and 1 kV, with a frequency of 50 Hz.
  • Most often they are used in the office buildings and the residential premises, in the concealed wiring and the rectangular wiring ducts of appropriate dimensions in case of single laying. For additional protection, cable management systems are used - corrugated pipes, conduits and wiring ducts.
  • Laying in the earth trenches is not desirable.

AVVG-P is a flat power cable with aluminum conductors, PVC insulation and sheath. It is designed for the transmission and distribution of electricity in stationary installations for a rated alternating voltage of 0.66 and 1 kV, with a frequency of 50 Hz.

Applicability scope

Aluminum flat cable is used for the electricity transmission when laying in collectors, tunnels, mines and overpasses, in dry and damp rooms, industrial, commercial, technical and residential buildings. AVVG-P is used mainly to save space: in a concealed wiring under plaster, laminate and other places poorly adapted to make a large trunking tray. It is often used for wiring in apartments and offices. The cable is not armoured, therefore it is not recommended for laying in the trenches in the ground.

A cable with the abbreviation “ng” is used, as a rule, for the household purposes. These letters indicate that in the production of AVVG-Png cable, we used the fire-resistant compound, due to which it does not spread combustion. Such a cable is used in gypsum board structures and floating ceilings, for the installation of switches, sockets and other stationary machines and mechanisms.

The cables marked “ngd” are used in public places: cinemas, shopping malls, stores, medical institutions and other public places. AVVG-Pngd does not spread combustion and has a reduced level of toxic smoke emission during a fire. Improved insulation characteristics allow AVVG-Png and AVVG-Pngd not to spread fire even in case of the group laying.

Design

The design of AVVG-P is based on aluminum single-wire conductors of the 1st flexibility class (class 1 of DSTU EN 60288). The conductors are located in the same plane, parallel to each other and insulated with PVC compound. For the convenience of installation, as well as for the safety in use, the PVC insulation of the conductors is color-marked. For example, the neutral conductor is blue, and the grounded conductor is yellow-green. Digital marking is less common. On top of the insulated conductors, there is an outer sheath also made of PVC compound. The shape of the cable is oval.

Operation

The operating temperature of AVVG-P, AVVG-Png, AVVG-Pngd ranges from -50°C to +50°C. Permissible air humidity is up to 98% at a temperature not higher than +35°С. And installation work is permissible at a temperature not less than -15°C, otherwise preheating of the cable is required.

The minimum bend radius during installation must be at least 10 times the smallest outer cable dimensions.

The long-term permissible heating temperature of the cable conductors during operation is 70°C, in case of a short circuit – 160°C, and in an emergency mode, the permissible heating of the conductors is no more than 80°C.

The service life of the cable is at least 30 years, and the guaranteed service life is 5 years.
