KGVV, KGVVng, KGVVngd
- KGVV, KGVVng, KGVVngd are flexible control cables with copper conductors, PVC insulation and sheath.
- They are designed for fixed installation of power circuits, control circuits and local lighting on machine tools and mechanisms at voltages up to 660 V alternating current, with a frequency of 50 Hz or 1000 V direct current.
- They are used for fixed installation in places where there is a need of the conductor with increased flexibility. It is not recommended to lay in the ground and in open places where the cable is exposed to sunlight; in case of laying outdoors, additional measures of protection against ultraviolet radiation are required.
operation: 10 x outer diameter
operation: from -50°С to +50°С
The copper conductor is not indicated on the cable marking;
K – control cable;
G – flexible;
V – PVC insulation of conductors;
V – PVC compound outer sheath;
«ng» – does not support combustion;
«ngd» – does not support combustion, with reduced smoke and gas emission.

Control cables KGVV, KGVVng, KGVVngd are designed for fixed connection to electrical networks and mobile power sources with a rated alternating voltage up to 660 V, with a frequency up to 50 Hz or a constant voltage up to 1000 V.
Applicability scope
Control cables KGVV, KGVVng, KGVVngd are mainly used for single stationary laying in places where there is a need of the conductor with increased flexibility. They are used for fixed installation of power circuits, local lighting and control circuits, mobile machines and mechanisms. They are not recommended for laying in the ground and in open places where the cable is exposed to sunlight; in case of installing outdoors, it is necessary to use additional measures of protection against ultraviolet radiation.
The letter index «ng» in the cable marking indicates that its sheath is made of PVC compound of low flammability, and the index «ngd» indicates that the cable does not support combustion and emits the minimum possible amount of smoke and gas in the event of a fire. Such cables are usually used in conditions with an increased fire hazard and increased fire safety requirements. The experts of EUROPAN LLC will provide you with more detailed information about the cable design, selection of the weight and diameter of the conductor taking into account the load power, as well as additional advice.
Design
The design of the cable is based on a round conductive stranded flexible copper conductor (class 5 DSTU EN 60288). The conductors are covered with a layer of PVC compound, stranded together and color-coded. Each layer contains a marker pair of conductors, which differ in color from the rest of the conductors and from each other. If the number of conductors in the cable is up to 5, then each of them has its own individual color. Also, multi-conductors cables can consist of the conductors of different cross-sections, for example, the neutral conductor and the ground conductor usually have a smaller cross-section than the others and they are different in color. Insulated conductors are enclosed in a PVC sheath.
Operation
The cable can be used in various climatic conditions, the operating temperature ranges from -50°С to +50°С. The maximum air humidity is 98% at a temperature of +35°С. The installation without preheating of the cable is permissible at a temperature not lower than -15°С.
To avoid damage during the installation, it is necessary to observe the permissible bend radius of the conductor, which is 7 outer cable diameters while the minimum bend radius during operation is 10 outer cable diameters.
Long-term permissible heating of conductors during operation is +70°С.
The service life of the cable is at least 15 years. The guaranteed service life is 3 years.
