H05VV-F are flexible wires with stranded copper conductors, a H05VV-F insulation and a sheath. They are designed to connect electrical machines and appliances for the household and similar use to the electrical network with a rated alternating voltage up to 450/750 V.
Application scope
The main purpose of the flexible connecting wires is to connect various stationary and portable or mobile electrical equipment to the network. The wire is as flexible, durable and strong as possible. Therefore, it allows you to create the safest possible operating conditions for household appliances, various devices and tools.
H05VV-F is used to connect household electrical appliances and power tools, washing machines, refrigerators, small mechanization equipment for gardening and horticulture, repair tools and other similar machines and devices. It is used in the production of household appliances: air conditioners, heaters, vacuum cleaners. It is also used as extension cords and carriers.
H05VV-F is also suitable for the installation of illuminated advertising and street lighting. However, it is not recommended for residential wiring.
Design
One of the main features of H05VV-F wire is its flexibility. Due to the structure of the conductors made of a large number of small wires, H05VV-F withstands the bends at any angle. And the protective sheath makes the conductors more resistant to the mechanical damage.
Structurally, H05VV-F consists of copper multi-wire conductors of the 5th flexibility class (class 5 of the National Standards of Ukraine EN 60228). Each conductor is insulated with the H05VV-F compound. Insulated conductors are stranded together and placed in a mutual protective H05VV-F sheath without filling. The number of the conductors varies from 2 to 5. The color marking of the insulation can vary, and the H05VV-F sheath is predominantly white.
H05VV-F always has a round shape and is resistant to the flame propagation provided a single laying.
The H05VV-F connecting wire is designed for the operation at the ambient temperatures from -25°C to +40°C. It can be laid without preheating at the temperatures down to -20°C.
The minimum radius of its bending during operation must be at least:
– for the wires with a conductor cross-section of 0.75 and 1.0 mm2 – 80 mm;
– for the wires with a conductor cross-section of 1.5 and 2.5 mm2 – 120 mm;
– for the wires with a conductor cross-section of 4.0 – 16 mm2 – 200 mm.
Long-term permissible temperature of heating conductors during operation is +70°С.
The service life of the wires is 6 years for non-stationary laying and 10 years for stationary devices. The guaranteed service life is 2 years.
