YKyXS
- YKyXS are power cables with copper conductors, vulcanized (cross-linked) polyethylene insulation and PVC compound sheath.
- They are designed for the transmission and distribution of the electrical energy in stationary installations for an alternating voltage 0.66; 1 kV with a frequency of 50 Hz.
- They are used for laying in cable structures, production and storage facilities, on specialized cable tray systems, channels, cable cellars, mines and collectors, on bridges and multi-level routes. They are also designed for indoor and outdoor wiring, provided there is no risk of mechanical damage. They are resistant to moisture and can be used in rooms with high humidity.
- The laying in the ground is not recommended; one should use the protection against mechanical damage in earth trenches.

Detailed description YKyXS (APvVGz) is a power cable with copper conductors, insulation made of vulcanized (cross-linked) polyethylene, and a sheath made of polyvinyl chloride plasticizer. It is designed for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy in stationary installations at alternating voltage of 0.66; 1 kV with a frequency of 50 Hz.
Scope of application The application area of this brand includes cable structures, industrial and warehouse facilities, specialized cable bridges, ducts, cable mezzanines, shafts, and collectors. The cable is commonly used for indoor wiring, although it can also be installed outdoors if there is no risk of mechanical damage. YKyXS (APvVGz) is convenient for installation and has good tensile strength, allowing its use on bridges and multi-level routes. It is resistant to moisture and can be used in high humidity environments. It is not recommended for burial in the ground, and protection against mechanical damage is necessary in earth trenches.
Construction
YKyXS (APvVGz) has a construction that utilizes copper conductors. The conductors can be solid or stranded, with 1 or 2 flexibility classes (class 1, 2 DSTU EN 60228). The number of conductors varies from 1 to 5. They are insulated with cross-linked (vulcanized) polyethylene. In multi-conductor cables, the conductors are twisted into a core and have color coding. The external cable sheath is made of polyvinyl chloride plasticizer and fills the space between the insulated conductors.
Operation
Normal cable operation is possible in a stationary state at temperatures ranging from -50°C to +50°C. PVC material is thermoplastic and hardens at low temperatures, so installation is permissible at a temperature not lower than -15°C; otherwise, the cable should be preheated.
The maximum permissible air humidity at which the cable functions is 98% at a temperature of +35°C. The bending radius when laying the cables is 7.5 and 10 times the outer diameter of the cable for multi-conductor and single-conductor cables, respectively.
YKyXS (APvVGz) belongs to the category of power cables with insulation made of cross-linked polyethylene. The use of this material significantly increases the temperature at which the conductors can operate both during normal operation and during short-circuit conditions. The maximum allowable temperature rise of the conductors during operation should not exceed 90°C, during short-circuit conditions – 250°C, and in emergency mode – not more than 130°C, with a maximum working time of 8 hours.
The service life is not less than 30 years, and the warranty period of operation is 5 years.
