YKYFty, NYBY, YnKYFtyn, YKYFt, NYBYn, NHBH
- YKYFty, NYBY, NAYBY, NYBYn, NHBH are armoured power cables with copper conductors, PVC insulation and a BbSHv-type protective sheath.
- They are designed for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy in stationary installations for a rated alternating voltage of 0.66; 1 kV with a frequency of 50 Hz.
- They are mainly used for laying in the ground (in trenches), rooms, tunnels, channels, mines (except for laying in blocks), in underground structures, partially flooded structures with various corrosive conditions, as well as outdoors, in an aggressive environment and unstable soils, if the cable is not subjected to significant tension strain, but if there is a risk of mechanical damage during operation.

YKYFty, NYBY, NAYBY is a power cable with copper conductors, PVC insulation and a YKYFty, NYBY-type protective sheath. It is designed for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy in stationary installations for a rated alternating voltage of 0.66; 1 kV with a frequency of 50 Hz.
Applicability scope
Armoured cable YKYFty, NYBY is highly resistant to mechanical stress and environmental influences. It is used for laying in the ground (in trenches) with any level of corrosive activity, regardless of the leakage currents. Steel armor makes the cable suitable for an aggressive environment and in conditions of mechanical stress. It is used in dry and damp rooms, tunnels, channels, mines (except for laying in blocks), in underground structures, partially flooded buildings with various corrosive conditions. And also outdoors, in unstable soils, if the cable is not subjected to significant tension strain, but if there is a risk of mechanical damage during operation. It can be used for laying in fire hazardous and explosive areas, since it does not ignite in a single laying.
Cables with the index “ng” and “ngd” are used in rooms with a high level of fire hazard and in places with a high probability of fire. NYBYn, NHBH is made in a sheath that does not support combustion also has a low level of smoke emission when exposed to high temperatures. Due to these properties, the indicated types of cable – NYBYn, NHBH are flame-retardant even when laid with other cables.
Design
The cable design is based on the copper single-wire or multi-wire conductors of a round or sector shape (class 1, 2 DSTU EN 60228). They are insulated with PVC compound and have digital or color (solid or strip) marking. The armor is made of galvanized steel bands and the outer sheath is made of extruded PVC.
Operation
YKYFty, NYBY, NYBYn, NHBH are intended for stationary operation at ambient temperatures from -50°C to +50°C. And a relative humidity should be of up to 98% at a temperature not higher than +35°C. The laying is possible without preheating at a temperature not lower than -15°C.
The minimum bend radius during installation must be at least 7.5 outer cable diameters. The long-term permissible conductor heating temperature during operation is 70°C, in an emergency mode -80°С, the maximum allowable temperature at short-circuit currents is 160°С.
The service life of the cable reaches 30 years while the guaranteed service life is 5 years
