Cable and wire products of EUROPAN LLC have various types of insulation: rubber, PVC compound, cross-linked polyethylene, and other modern materials. All our products are marked “TM EUROPAN CABLE”
Power cables are conductors designed to transmit and distribute electrical energy. They are used to transfer heavy currents of industrial frequency from electrical substations, energy companies, and public utilities to switchgear and ultimate users. They serve to power electrical appliances and electrify buildings, structures, residential buildings, and even entire cities, regions, and countries. They allow connecting of fixed installations and mobile units. They can be laid underground, in water, at a height, or simply laid on the surface.
Control cables are a separate group of cable and wire products. They are considered to be intermediate between communication cables and power cables. Most often they are used for secondary switching of remote control devices for activation of systems and regulating starting. They are used to build command and control lines, protective relay, signaling, blocking networks, remote control, as well as to connect electrical instruments and apparatus to other control devices. They conduct and transmit currents of small strength and voltage up to 1 kV. There are control cables for fixed installation and movable connection. The former ones are used for fixed installation outdoors or in the ground, and the latter ones are used for mobile mechanisms. The control cable is mainly used for connection to stationary electrical apparatus and devices.
A wire, also called an electric wire, is a current conductor, consisting of one or more stranded wires, which serves to connect a source of electric current to a consumer or components of an electrical circuit. Most often, wires are used when laying overhead power lines, installing lighting networks, producing winding for electrical machines, installing radio equipment, electric equipment, machines, mechanisms, machine tools, as well as in communications. The wire is not intended to be laid in the ground or underwater. A cord is a type of wire with highly flexible insulated copper conductors designed for portable equipment and for connecting household appliances and equipment to the power grids.
Wires for overhead power lines are actively used to transmitting electricity over long distances and providing electricity to remote regions with minimal losses. There are non—insulated wires (the so-called “bare”) and self-supporting insulated wires (SIP). The former ones are for outdoor use where massively exposed to weather and can be made of aluminum or its alloys, copper, and steel. The latter ones have 5 types of design, but all of them are insulated and have the same material of conductors. SIP conductors are always made of aluminum or alloy and are never copper.
Flexible power cables are separate type of power cables designed for a mobile installation. They are used to connect mobile machines and mechanisms, as well as other non-stationary devices to electrical networks and mobile sources of electrical energy. Most often they are used in construction to connect mobile equipment, in particular, welding machines, concrete mixers, lift cranes, telphers, and powerful tools. They are also used to equip runway lighting systems in the airports, connect medical, industrial, and commercial mobile mechanisms. Highly flexible power cables are used in automated machines, robotics, machine tools.
Special-purpose cables and wires are used in specific conditions. They include cables for solar panels, communication and signaling cables, signal heat-resistant and fire-resistant cables, transport cables (aviation, ship, mine, excavator, railway), telephone wires and cables, and others. Most often, special-purpose cables are used to connect various elements in security and fire alarm systems, antiburglar alarm systems, access control systems, control and communication systems, to connect sound, motion, heat and smoke sensors, in intercom systems, fire extinguishing and warning systems, emergency and evacuation systems, the functioning of which is critical in a fire emergency to ensure the efficiency of electrical equipment that is necessary for rescue operations. And also special-purpose cables and wires are used for communications, the transmission of signals and data at telephone switching exchanges and switchboards
“Cable TM EUROPAN with European Certificate: What Does It Mean”
In today’s world, where electrical and electronic devices play a crucial role in our everyday lives, the safety and quality of cables are essential to ensure the reliability of these devices. One way to determine whether a specific cable can be trusted is to check for the presence of a European certificate, such as TM EUROPAN.
A cable bearing the TM EUROPAN mark with a European certificate signifies that this cable complies with all the requirements set by the European Union for safety and quality. This means that the cable manufacturer has undergone a series of tests and trials aimed at ensuring its safety and compliance with European standards. The European certificate guarantees that the cable is made using safe materials and technologies and poses no threat to health or the environment.
