LLC “EUROPAN” received a certificate from LLC “SERTATOM”.
Kyiv Cable Plant “EUROPAN” has implemented a management system, which is confirmed by a certificate from the management system certification body “SERTATOM” LLC.
This certificate confirms that the development, production and supply of cable and wire products meet the requirements of the DSTU ISO 19443:2019 standard “Quality management system. Specific requirements for the application of ISO 9001:2015 by nuclear sector organizations supplying products and services important for nuclear safety (ITNS)”
The basis of the management system of LLC “EUROPAN” is a safety culture, which provides for a high level of qualification and psychological preparedness of personnel. To achieve high safety standards, the organization implements specific measures that include financial, personnel and material and technical support. The goal is to reduce the risks of illegal or unqualified actions through maximum consideration of the human factor.
Being aware of its responsibility to society for the consequences of radiation accidents (incidents) that may occur in systems important for the safety of the NPP due to product failure, LLC “EUROPAN” adopts the Statement on the Policy in the Field of Safety Culture, which establishes the priority of ensuring safety over other goals and principles specified in the Quality Policy.
The main tasks and methods of ensuring safety culture:
establishing the priority of safety over economic and production goals;
selection, training and advanced training of managers and specialists;
continuous improvement of production instructions based on accumulated experience;
improving the quality of documentation and the quality of record keeping;
conducting an analysis and assessment of the state of safety culture, as well as monitoring the implementation of relevant measures;
establishing by managers at all levels an atmosphere of trust and such approaches to teamwork that contribute to strengthening a positive attitude to safety;
understanding by managers and specialists of the impact of their activities on safety and the consequences that concealing errors in their activities, non-compliance or poor-quality implementation of the requirements of regulatory documents, production and job instructions in the process of conformity assessment may lead to;
using the organization’s external and internal experience;
establishing a system of incentives and penalties based on the results of production activities that stimulates the openness of the actions of managers and specialists and does not contribute to concealing errors in their work;
strict adherence to discipline with a clear distribution of powers and personal responsibility of managers and direct executors.
Obtaining the DSTU ISO 19443:2019 certificate confirms that “EUROPAN” LLC meets the highest quality and safety standards in the production of cable and wire products for nuclear power.
